The HKUSU Records are comprised of minutes, publications, photographs, and slides from the clubs and associations that make up the Hong Kong University Student Union as well as the Union Council.

The Murray Groves Papers are composed of Groves' lecture notes, research materials and newspaper clippings about Hong Kong, teaching materials--including lecture notes--, and various administrative documents.

Collection consists of the Department of Music's Undergraduate Handbooks, concert programs, and flyers for the annual Rayson Huang Lecture from the 1990s and 2000s.

26 letters written by Patricia Aldridge Marshall during her time as a lecturer of Zoology at Hong Kong University. These letters mostly detail Marshall's daily life in Hong Kong and provide insight into the life of an expat in the early 1960s. Marshall touches briefly on the topics of wet markets, Hong Kong wildlife, refugees from Mainland China, and contact between people in Hong Kong and people in Mainland China.

This collection contains a total of 171 files from the General Records section of the Registry. The files are from the year before the University shut down in 1941 due to World War II. These files are topical and cover many subjects relating to the academics, faculty, students, and University administration. Originally the files were titled "Closed Files" since after the Japanese occupation the Registry decided stop adding material to them.

This collections contains files from the Registry that relate to the the re-establishement of various parts of the University. Most files pertain to physcial aspects of campus.

Photos of Hong Kong from the Royal Asiatic Society, mostly documenting architecture. Eight photos are HKU related.

Materials related to Sir David Todd, HKU Alumnus and faculty member. Materials include articles, editorials, and in memoriam pieces written by Todd, photographs of Todd, publications of societies and professional organizations he was a member of, his calendar, notes, and the gown worn when he was bestowed an Honorary Doctorate of Science.

The University of Hong Kong Museum Society Records are comprised of administrative documents from the organization, including meeting minutes, correspondence, and circulars.

This collection includes 283 files of from the office of the Vice Chancellor. The files cover a wide variety of topics relating to the academics and administration of the University of Hong Kong.

These files are called "Unnumbered" to differentiate them from later Vice Chancellor's files which were each assigned a file number.
